What is an initial consultation and why is it free?

We offer our initial consultations for free so our clients can get the advice they need to progress their matter, no strings attached.  We understand that not all of our clients are able to pay for legal assistance but we believe everyone should have the chance to receive it.

How to Book a Consultation

What can I expect at a free initial consultation?

You can expect to speak with a lawyer about your matter and walk away with an understanding of how you can progress your matter as well as what outcomes may be available to you.  We offer our consultations as telephone meetings with our lawyers.  Our lawyers are happy to refer to any material you have during the consultation but do not do any initial preparation.

What time can I book a consultation?

We have four (4) different times each morning being, 9:15am, 9:55am, 10:35am and 11:15am.

What are the timeframes I can expect a response to an enquiry?

We promise to provide a response within two (2) hours on business days.

I need to have some documents reviewed; can this be done during an initial consultation?

You may send us some material for the consult, but we will only review it during the consult.

How much will the costs be after my consult?

We will be able to provide you with the initial estimated cost, should you choose to engage in our services after.  As every matter is different, and depending on needs, we will not be able to provide you with an accurate fee estimate before the consult.

Who will I be speaking to?

You will be speaking to Melanie Thorley, our principal solicitor.

She is an experienced solicitor with more than a decade of experience.

Can I have a face-to-face consult ?
